2012 was my first season, yet when I went to register, the site said "The Email Address is already registered/in waiting list." How do I complete my registration?
We are utilizing a custom one online registration system that we first started to develop in 2011. Members that placed their name on the Waiting List in 2011 and did not join the CSA in 2011 created an account previously but are listed under the Waiting List. The member may have joined in 2012, but the 2011 system would not have been updated. Please contact the farm and the account will be updated so you can register.
I was a member in 2012 but when I select the Login, there is no account. What do I do?
Members joined in 2012 do not have an account in the system we are now using. They will need to create a new member account.
1. From the farm website home page www.stoneledgefarmny.org, click on New Member Registration. You are not a new member, but do not have a contact in the current system so you will need to create a Member Registration and Account.
2. Select Register in the CSA location box.
3. Create a Registration with an e-mail and password for access to your account along with your contact info.

2. Log in with your e-mail and password.
3. Select the My Account link from the upper right menu. My Account has all of your contact, CSA and order details. If you click on the green +Info you will find the complete order, payment and upcoming transaction details.

I have ordered a Vegetable and Fruit Share. I selected “Checkout” but the system will not allow me to move on to the payment page. What do I do?
A couple of possibilities.
When first ordering a Vegetable Share each of the optional Share pages (Fruit Share, Coffee Share, Mushroom Share) need to be advanced through. Select Add to Cart or No Thanks at each of the optional Share pages. The last screen will prompt you to either add more shares or complete payment.
The Member Agreement and the Volunteer Requirement boxes for their CSA site must be checked. If the boxes are not both checked, the page will not proceed.
I would like to add an optional share (Fruit Share, Coffee Share, Mushroom Share) to my existing Vegetable Share. How do I update my current Vegetable Share order?
1. Log into your account with your e-mail and password by selecting the CSA Member Login under the center photo on the farm website home page.
2. Enter your e-mail address and password. If you have forgotten your password select the Forgot Password and a link will be e-mailed to your account directing you to set up a new password.
3. Place your order by selecting the optional shares and adding them to your cart.
4. Complete the payment section.
5. A confirmation e-mail will be sent.
I’m not sure if a Vegetable Share will be enough/too much for me. Do you have any sample photos?
There are sample photos on the Vegetable Share link on the farm website. A volunteer at the Upper Westchester CSA has also taken photos of the shares for many years. You can view share photos on the Upper Westchester CSA website as well at westchestercsa.org.
Can I share a share if I decide that a Standard Share is too much?
Most CSA’s offer the option for members to share a Vegetable Share. The farm sends one size Vegetable Share: the Standard Vegetable Share. The Standard Vegetable Share is generally enough for a family of 4, but many single or two person households find that a Standard Share is just right for them. It really depends on how many vegetables you eat in a week. Please consider carefully if half of the share each week will be enough for you. You will be splitting a Standard Vegetable Share and the share partners are responsible for splitting the share.
How do I add a Share Partner to the order?
A share partner needs to be added before the share is placed in the shopping cart. If you would like to add a share partner after you have placed an order, please contact the farm.
1. Log into your CSA account and go to My Account.
2. Select Add New Partner under the My Share Partners heading. Enter your share partners contact information.
3. Add the share partner to the order before adding to the cart by selecting the partner from the Share Partner drop down box. The share partner will receive an e-mail with links to accept the share partner invitation. Both members are agreeing to the Terms of Membership and also the Volunteer Requirements, both have CSA accounts. As share partners, each can order a Fruit and or Coffee Shares as well as place orders from the online Marketplace once the season begins.
If members select to have partners it is the share partners responsibility to split Shares when they pick up. Each CSA site handles splitting shares at the distribution. Please contact the site coordinators directly if you have questions.
Both share partner members will have CSA accounts and can then log into their accounts add Fruit Shares and Coffee Shares before the season begins as well as order from the Marketplace once the season begins.
The Fruit Share is just not as much in volume as the Vegetable Share and generally not enough to split. The suggestion is that if the members want a Fruit Share, they should each order a Fruit Share.
The Fruit Share can be added at the time that the Vegetable Share is ordered or any time after by logging into the member CSA account.
I am a share partner for a Standard Vegetable Share and would like to order a Fruit Share for my own. How do I order a Fruit Share if I am a Share Partner on another members Vegetable Share?
Once you have “Accepted” the share partner by responding to the notification e-mail, you will have your own CSA account. To order a Fruit Share,
1. Log into your account with your e-mail and password. To create a new password or if you forgot your password, click on CSA Member Login under the center photo on the farm website home page.
2. Click on Login on the top menu bar, enter your e-mail address and select Forgot Password. A link will be e-mailed to your account directing you to set up a new password. Once you have your new password you can log in and place your order.
The system will not allow me to only order a Fruit Share/Coffee Share.
The Vegetable share is the base CSA share. The Vegetables are grown on the farm and are certified organic. To order a Fruit Share or a Coffee Share, the CSA member needs to have a Vegetable Share. The farm offers the Fruit Share/Coffee Shares as optional shares for members. The Fruit Share is local, conventionally grown fruit. The Coffee Share is Organic, Fair Trade Coffee, locally roasted. After you have selected your Vegetable Share, an optional Fruit and or Coffee Share can be added.
Are there payment options?
You have the option to pay in full with a credit card, pay in full with a mailed check, make three payments with a credit card or three payments with a mailed check.
If you select the three payment with a credit card, your card will be securely stored and charged for the remaining two payments. The payment schedule will be displayed on the screen and you will receive a reminder when the upcoming payments are to be charged. Confirmation e-mails for all payments will be sent to your e-mail account.
If you would like to set up an extended payment plan, please contact the farm. We are happy to work with members, but the commitment is for the entire season and members are expected to complete payment for the shares.
One CSA site, Chelsea offers payment with SNAP. Please contact the Chelsea CSA site coordinator directly for more information.
I signed up for the 2013 season and entered my credit card information. My card information has since changed. How should I do about updating my credit card for future payments?
You can update your credit card on file from your CSA on line member account.
1. Log into your account from the farm website home page, select CSA Member Login and enter your e-mail and password.
2. Select the My Account link from the upper menu and then the Edit function of the My Cards on File. Select Edit, not Delete and enter the new information.
Submit and your credit card information will be updated.
How can I check my account? I don’t remember if I added a Fruit Share and would like to check my payment and balance due.
1. From the farm website home page, click on CSA MEMBER LOGIN under the center photo.
2. Log in with your e-mail and password.
3. Select the My Account link from the upper right menu. My Account has all of your contact, CSA and order details. If you click on the green +Info you will find the complete order, payment and upcoming transaction details.
If you would like to add to your original order you can by selecting CSA Shares on the top left menu bar, following the prompts.
How much coffee is in a Coffee Share and how often do you get coffee in a Coffee Share?
The coffee is in full one pound bags and you will receive two one pound bags of coffee per distribution of the type and grind you select. The distribution for coffee is once a month, 6 total distributions, 12 pounds total. If you would like to order on an weekly basis, coffee is available from the Marketplace once the season begins. The price per pound for the coffee share is $10.50 the price is slightly higher at $10.75 per pound on a weekly order basis from the Market Place.
What is a Fruit Share?
The Fruit Share is an optional share of local, conventionally grown fruit. The farm offers the optional Fruit Share as a added benefit of local produce to the members. The share is not as large as the Vegetable Share. The Fruit Share is for 20 weeks starting the 5th delivery of the CSA season when fruit becomes available.
The Vegetable Share is Certified Organic, why isn’t the Fruit Share Certified Organic?
As an added benefit of CSA membership, the farm offers a Fruit Share of local, seasonal fruit. The fruit is grown at neighboring conventional farms and orchards that use IPM methods to minimize there use of chemicals. Some of the berries are no spray and members will receive that information in the weekly e-mail.
Why do I have to agree to volunteer for the local CSA?
Most CSA groups have a Volunteer Commitment Requirement. It is generally 3-5 hours for the entire season. The CSA is organized, coordinated and run by the local CSA group which is entirely volunteer effort. It takes all of the membership to make the CSA run and each member is part of the CSA. The hours are clearly posted on the CSA Site Information link on the farm website and also on the Details section of the CSA registration pages. Questions about volunteering at the site should be directed to the CSA site coordinator of that location.
There are also a group of very active volunteers that make up the Core Group for the CSA. They volunteer many hours to run the CSA. Members that are interested in joining the CSA Core Group should contact the coordinator at the site.
How do I sign up for volunteering hours?
All local organization is coordinated at the CSA site by the local CSA coordinators. E-mail the coordinators at the CSA site so they can respond. You can find the contact e-mail on the CSA Locations page under the CSA site listing.
I don't see the date that the CSA starts and the dates of the pick-ups. Will get some sort of notification?
CSA starts distribution in June. Monday CSA sites start June 10, Tuesday CSA sites start June 11, Wednesday CSA sites start on June 5. The season runs for 24 weeks into November. Each CSA group has a CSA Core Group that organizes and coordinates the CSA. Before the season starts you will receive e-mail information from the CSA group. Dates of upcoming events can also be found on the Calendar link on the farm website.
I can’t get to the CSA site to pick up my share. Can I have a neighbor pick up the share?
Yes, but please notify the site coordinators so the name can be noted on the sign in roster. All shares that are not picked up are donated to a local community organization at the end of distribution.
I noticed that the prices vary slightly from site to site. Do all of the CSA sites receive the same shares?
The farm has a base price for all of the CSA shares. Each CSA site has the option to add a small admin fee to help offset the costs of running the CSA and distribution. All of the CSA sites receive the same shares.
How do I find out what will be in the share each week?
There is a member e-mail that goes out each week from the farm. It will have information about what is going on at the farm and also a list of the CSA share for the week. The e-mail is distributed by the local CSA group to their members. Many CSA groups also have websites. Check under the CSA listing on the farm website for contact e-mails for coordinators and also website listings for the CSA site.
I would like to visit the farm. Are there opportunities to visit the farm?
Each year the Farm Festival is held the second Saturday in September at the farm. It is a great opportunity to visit the farm , meet the farmers and also other members. Work visits may also be scheduled during the season.
I would like to become more involved. Are there volunteering opportunities beyond my Membership Volunteering hours?
Yes, there is a Core Group of volunteers that organize and coordinate the local CSA group. Contact the local CSA coordinators to become involved. The CSA is run entirely by volunteers from the CSA.
There may be vegetables that I am not familiar with. Do you provide recipes?
There is a recipe link on the farm website but it is far from complete. We add recipes as they are sent to us by members. Many CSA groups have a newsletter and website that also provide recipes. A quick online search will also offer many recipes.
What is the Marketplace?
The Marketplace offers products for members to order on a weekly basis to be delivered with the CSA shares. Fair trade, Organic Coffee, Mushrooms, local Maple Syrup and Honey are available for online ordering.
Do you offer meat, eggs and dairy products?
We do not. Many CSA sites partner with other farms for products that Stoneledge Farm does not offer. Please check with your site coordinators to see if your CSA site offers additional products.
